It seems to me that most religious people that i’v ever known are not religious because of a genuine beleif, or that they have a real feeling for their faith but are more or less religious or borderline religious/agnostic/atheist because they haven’t thought about it at all, in most situations it’s simply down to what there parents told them and now several years later they’re trecking along with that idea in their head. it truely does displease me, i’d rather them look into it even from a young age as i have done, even if they turn out religious or with a faith i’d still be pleased that they took the intiative to try and further understand ”the bigger picture”. i do know that britain has roughly a 53%-55% christian(anglican or methodist) population while the rest is everything from gnostic/agnostic/atheist and or other religions and that as a society we are very secular, but as i expect myself to look further into everything that is unkown it’s become a loathing of mine when people don’t do the same.
